Are wow private servers are dead now?
I have never used private servers before. SERVER LIST I stop subscribing for bfa, because I no longer enjoy the game. I have never played Wraith or BC. I'm still playing classic, but I haven’t reached maxed yet. But, as the title states.

They aren't dead, but they're kind of quiet now that WoW has sent out Classic.
Are they sufficiently active to do let's and wraith attacks or bc?
It depends on what you're looking for. There are many options, with enough people. Depends on pve focus and pvp. There are always new ones. A dedicated guild can make a big difference.
Let's suppose I'm looking at a mix.
Every year, new servers are being added to the market. A few new WotLK, new Cata, and a relatively new MoP just popped-up. A few BFA servers are in progress at the moment, and a new Legion server is on its way this summer.
